About me

Undeterred by my inability to afford a history grad school program, I decided to just take my (graduate) education into my own hands. I home schooled myself as a teenager, so home(grad)school seemed a fitting name for this blog. I'll eventually be an 'independent scholar/researcher' (I hope), but as I am currently still learning the ropes of good academic writing and research techniques/habits, I still feel much more like a student than a professional!

This blog exists mostly to make a record of my process of learning how to be a historian outside of Academia. I hope that someday some of the posts here will help others who are outside the ivory tower but would love to do some sort of work within the field of history!
